Gastein, a valley in the heart of the Alps with its own attractions is also an excellent location to discover the peaks and mountain ranges in the vicinity. Within maximal two hours of driving you reach everything, from the Großglockner 3789m highest peak of Austria, to some of the most beautiful rock climbing routes of the Alps.
If the weather is poor in Gastein Valley we take you for a day-trip to the Dolomites. The "Rocky’s of Europe" are offering a wide variety of fantastic hiking and climbing routes on red-coloured limestone.

Characteristics: Majestic mountain and unique scenery on the top of Austria. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise on the 3454m high located Erzherzog Johann Hütte, surrounded by red morning light painted glaciers and peaks. Even if we have to shear the summit with other “individualists” the Großglockner is still an impressive peak to climb. |

Characteristics: The Tauern- Queen, one of the most significant peaks of the Hohen Tauern, must not be missed in the alpine climbers logbook. From the 2215m high located Gießener Hütte leads a trail to the Trippkees glacier, where we rope up, and further on via the South Ridge to the summit. A very diversified route to a beautiful summit. |

Characteristics: The Torsäule in the Hochkönig mountain range is the most popular rock climbing area because of its quality limestone and perfect routes.
We offer all routes for guiding in Hochkönig and Tennengebirge, only one hour driving distance from Gastein. Sign up and climb with us the best climbs you can imagine, like the water riffles of “Life is beautiful 6+” on östlicher Schoberkopf you see on the picture. |

Tourenbeschreibung: Das Hörnei, wie es die Kletterer nennen, ist nur den Kletterer vorbehalten, kein leichter Weg führt auf den Gipfel. Tolle Kletterei an der markanten Ostkante. Im Tennengebirge die vielleicht schönste klassische Klettertour. Abstieg durch Abseilen und dann Abklettern über die 30m lange Thronleiter. Alternativ können wir natürlich noch jede andere Tour im Tennengebirge anbieten. Klettern im Tennengebirge, alles was das Herz begehrt. |

Tourenbeschreibung: Der Klassiker in den Lienzern schlechthin. Sehr schöne, extrem beliebte und nach oben hin immer leichter werdende Kantenkletterei. Der Fels ist sehr fest und teilweise schon etwas abgeklettert. Die Schwierigkeiten finden sich in den ersten drei SL wobei die 4- Stelle gut A0 gemacht werden kann. Ein weiterer Geheimtipp für Fortgeschrittene ist der "Laserz Geischt“ 5+/6 an der Laserzwand. Das Abenteuer Felsklettern einfach einmal wagen. |

Characteristics: The Cinque Torres are playground of some of the most famous climbers in presence and past of the Dolomites. An immense number of superb climbs just a jump away from car and the hut. This is our favourite climbing and training area outside of Gastein. Closed to Cortina d’ Ampezzo we have a number of high recommended climbing routes, like the “Hexenstein 4”, the “Tree Cime di Lavaredo 4”, monument of the Dolomites available for Daytrips. |

Tourenbeschreibung: Scharf setzt sich die Südkante des Hexenstein am Horizont oberhalb des Falzarego Passes ab. Der Zustieg führt durch Stellungstunnel in origineller Weise zum Einstieg. Sehr schöne Kletterei zumeist im 3ten Grad mit einem markanten Durchschlupf durch ein Felsenfenster. Einen genussvollen Tag in den Dolomiten sollten Sie sich einmal gönnen. |

Tourenbeschreibung: Die Drei Zinnen, das Wahrzeichen der Dolomiten. Ästhetisch zieht die Dibona Kante 500m in den Himmel, großartige alpine Route mit Blick in die berühmte Nordwand. Nur für geübte Kletterer mit guter Seilhandhabung. Auch der Abstieg von der Großen Zinne verlangt noch Abklettern bis 2 und Abseilen.
Eine der ganz großen Dolomitenrouten, die im Tourenbuch nicht fehlen sollte. |
